Do I need an annulment?

I was baptized Catholic, married my ex-husband in a Baptist chuch, he was not Catholic. Our marriage was his second. His first he married a Catholic in a Catholic church and then they got divorced. I have found out she never received an annulment for their marriage. Question is, does the church even recognize my marriage, and would I need to get an annulment to marry in the Catholic church?
 
He married a Catholic in the Catholic Church that means that marriage is considered valid. He is not free to marry someone else unless he receives an annulment for his first marriage.
