Do I need an Imprimatur?

I understand what an imprimatur is and what it stands for. What I want to know is this: Do you need an imprimatur to write and publish on matters of faith and morals?

For example, I am very interested in the teachings of the Church and the Canons passed at the different Ecumenical Councils, however I noticed that there are not many comprehensive guides pointing out in plain format what was decreed in these documents. I don’t want others who are curious like me to have the same problem in locating information online that I did, so I thought I could write several articles summarizing what is in each one.

I know I’m not an apologist or a theologian, yet, and I know that the only truly authoritative and infallible works are the Bible and the judgements passed by the Pope and council of bishops after following proper procedure and I have no intention of claiming any special insight into the meaning of rules and laws. I only want to create a guide for people who don’t have the time or patience to sit down and read through the entire text of each Council or Church Ruling.
