Do I need to confess this again?

Being 1st Friday, I went to mass at the chapel near my office. Intentionally went 20 minutes early so as to be able to go to confession.
I started confessing and after I confessed the first sin (not done yet) the priest started talking and then went on to give me my penance and absolution. I realize I could have said “Father I am not done”, but was too embarassed to speak.
And I went said my penance and attended mass.

Did I make a mockery of confession?
Are all my sins absolved even though I did not confess?
Do I need to confess what I did not the next time I go?

Please advise.

Dear Gwyn,

You did not sin. Your sins were forgiven—even the ones you didn’t get to mention. But next time you go to confession you need to mention them as an expression of your sorrow and repentance.

Don’t be so shy. Next time tell him that you have more.
