What does a former Catholic, who has been baptized in another Christian faith, need to do to return to the Church as a full participating member
So, if a person was baptized as an infant in the Catholic church, but it stopped there, never went to a catholic church a day in their life, and even joined a few other churches in their lifetime, they are STILL Catholic for life?Yup - that first baptism in the Catholic church was your birth into Christ. It is indelible. You can no more sever that link to the Catholic church than you can deny your birth parents whose DNA runs through your veins.
You do need to go to confession - including mentioning having gone through a form of baptism in another church. It may or may not have been a sin, but for your own peace of mind admit what you did to God.
Yes. They’re just really BAD Catholics. So, if a person was baptized as an infant in the Catholic church, but it stopped there, never went to a catholic church a day in their life, and even joined a few other churches in their lifetime, they are STILL Catholic for life?
Yes, but you would need to go through confirmation prior to receiving communion. So, if a person was baptized as an infant in the Catholic church, but it stopped there, never went to a catholic church a day in their life, and even joined a few other churches in their lifetime, they are STILL Catholic for life?
