I had a rosary blessed for my mother-in-law recently; however; I did not inform the priest that the rosary was not mine. Apparently, he thought it was, and while blessing the rosary prayed that the recitation of the rosary would give me (mentioned my name) blessings or grace. I did not know what to do. Anyway, I would like to know if I can, or even should have this rosary re-blessed. My mother-in-law has left the Church and wants to come back, but is unable do to some complicated circumstances.

She mentioned she wanted a new rosary, and I certainly want any blessings or graces to be conferred upon her as she prays the rosary and struggles with her separation from the Church. What should I do?

You could have it re-blessed if you wanted to, but it’s not necessary. A blessed rosary is a blessed rosary.
