Hi

Simple questions

I am recently praying the servite rosary

I mediate on the seven sorrow of Mary

My question is

I read it online it tells me each seven sorrows example

First sorrow
Let us meditate on the first sorrow of the blessed Virgin, when she presented her son …

My question is that DO I NEED to exactly repeat the words up ? or just think , imagine and meditate without saying exactly the same words?

I am sorry for my poor English did you get what I mean?

You can think, imagine and meditate without saying exactly the same words. We are all different personalities and meditate in different ways.

God bless you,

This is a private devotion, and as with all private devotions you are free to do whatever aids your faith and your prayer life/spirituality.

Having said that, if you wish to employ a particular devotion it’s probably best to simply do it as it is laid out. These things are time-tested and effective because, in part, of their words/structure. If this devotion doesn’t aid your faith, for whatever reason, you are free to practice any other devotion(s) that does. 🙂

As Dorothy said, you don’t have to actually announce the mystery verbally while praying the rosary. As long as you meditate on the mystery, it is fine.
