It’s been a year and I still haven’t told my parents about my conversion to Catholicism. We have been in a place where I simply said that religion was completely off the table for discussion. My mother has chosen to believe that it was because I was too anti-religion and didn’t want to hear anything about God. I never said that but she chose to believe it anyway.
I’m honestly not sure if I should even bother telling her. I’m not really lying to her, just not saying anything. I don’t want to give her the impression that the topic is open for discussion again, because I’m not interested in having that conversation.
