Has anyone heard of this before? Could help me understand it more? As a Catholic how I should respond?

The term “black pope” is a derogatory reference to the Superior General of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), given because of his leadership of the order and his black clothing. The term is so inanely anti-Catholic that it is not worth a reasoned response. Just give the person your best “We are not amused” stare.
