No, but they are not in the fullness of the faithSo how are the Jews worshipping a false god in your opinion? Your Bible includes the God of the OT, right?
Well, Iām glad you clarified that. No, but they are not in the fullness of the faith
also
John 14:6 āā¦no man cometh unto the Father, but by meā
No matter what they may think, Jews and Muslims donāt have access to the Father.
Hi kellychrysler!Itās funny you quote Psalms, which is in the Hebrew Bible for the Jews. Jesus was a Jew, to denounce that, you denounce him. He followed Jewish traditions, we should be respectful and mindful of that. Many of the traditions we follow as Catholic were inspired by the Roman pagan community, so if anyone is the gentile described we are.
Yet, at the same time, I believe that Jesus shaped a new way, a path where Gentiles such as myself can worship him. Despite the fact that my cultural traditions, let me eat shellfish, or my day of rest is on Sunday.
I donāt like that disconnection from religions, its like no one actually read the Bible, the Torah, or the Koran, they just make conjectures based on their racism.
howdy,This is the very thinking why I do not like organized churches. I have read the debates on this thread and canāt believe some responses. God is the same God in the O.T. as in the N.T. All are Godās children! Jew, Christian, and Muslim worship the same God, the God of Abraham! God is the same, past, present, and future! Some do not speak for others!
Peace
The word āAllahā is not a Muslim word nor do Muslims have linguistic or historical grounds to make exclusionary claims for the name. Many Arab Christians (Eastern Catholic and Orthodox) use āAllahā in their daily prayers and liturgical texts, including the Bible. I believe the Churchās stance on this matter is the way it is because the Christian and the Muslim conceptions of the One God are the same - that God exists and God is One. We disagree where we predicate the use of God. The Church is in no way trying to sugar-coat its words. It still adheres to the teachings of John 14:6.This is one of those things I donāt quite understand with regard to our Church. I will align my beliefs with the Church even though I donāt quite understand, but this is a tough one.

howdy,
Jews and Muslims may indeed believe in a God, but that doesnāt mean they have access to the Father otherwise what Jesus said,
John 14:6 āā¦no man cometh unto the Father, but by meā
is a lie
do you believe this statement by Jesus is a lie? that there are other **ways **to the Father besides Jesus?
The Catholic Church is an organized Church. Without structure and guidance, a personās faith will falter. It was through the efforts of the Catholic Church (PONTIFICAL COUNCIL FOR INTERRELIGIOUS DIALOGUE) that have made what you have been espousing, possible. This is the very thinking why I do not like organized churches.Peace
Yes, I meant it in the Arabic sense. Iām thinking from the point of view of a title but you are correct. I stand corrected. Allah cannot be used to mean the āMuslim godā but God Himself is Allah. Sorry. Thanks cathopologistThe word āAllahā is not a Muslim word nor do Muslims have linguistic or historical grounds to make exclusionary claims for the name. You are right in saying RC is a organized church, but history shows us whether you go to an organized Church or not you can fall. I have scertain beliefs I hold dear to my heart. I have a responsibility to follow what I have learned. You may ask then why am I on a Catholic website? I do not believe any one man has all the answers. Iām here to discuse and to learn.People would be supprised at what I believe, that God created all things in the Universe, so all things are interconnected. I also believe in Covenant Theology which you would call Sacraments.Only I believe there are Covenants in Heaven and a Heavenly Mass. I believe the Catholic Church always exsisted it was even in the garden of Eden as the āTree of Lifeā. I do not see the Catholic hurch as a building, but as the Bride of Jesus Christ that always was and always will be.Solomonās Temple was a shadow of this Catholic Church in Heaven. I use the term Catholic as all inclusive of all Godās children. You see Catholic as the Roman Rite. I can respect that even if Iām not in agreemen. I look at the Bible through Covenant eyes as a whole and not one singular Scripture. You would have to study Covenants to understand. The bottom line is I am here to learn and to fellowship, I am not here to join any organization. I try to learn from everyone that why it does away with my ignorrance and prejudice. I donāt know everything , but I choose to learn. My core beliefs remain the same whether Iām in an organized religion or not.The Catholic Church is an organized Church.
