Do Jews get baptized today?

Well the question is in the topic title. Wasn’t John baptizing Jews? I know he baptized Jesus but what religion was he baptizing people into? To sum it up what does baptism mean to Jews?

Hi,

The baptism that John was administering was not sacramental baptism. It was a symbolic ritual that he associated with repenting of one’s sins. It never became a part of the Jewish religion.
