By Christian, let’s be precise here, I am assuming you mean accept the Nicean creed. In this you are correct, we do not accept it. I do appreciate your line of arguing though. I can accept an argument like “you’re different than us” much easier than “you’re different than us AND SO YOU ARE WRONG!!!”
Ok…you are different than US AND you are wrong.

But following false prophets always results in a person being wrong.

Now, about BY…

You know, I always kinda doubted that you are really LDS. I sorta always believed you were just a guy who likes to stir things up. I say this because you you come across as knowing very, very little about the LDS doctrine and how it has changed over time to try to ignore the wacky teachings of the early “prophets”.

But after this last comment, I am beginning to wonder if you are not just slightly delusional and only seeing what you want. Of course, that is how one must be to be lds, but now I see just how much you truly need our prayers.

You will be in mine
Ahh TexanKnight, that’s so sweet of you!

Can’t I be both slightly delusional and a guy who likes to stir things up? Check my profile, I’m the real LDS thing. I have 5 sons, all eagle scouts and all either serving missions, have served or have their papers in. I guess because of my IT training, I always like to stay on top of the new things and I don’t mind much what’s in the questionable accounts of former prophets. You know about the 116 pages of manuscript William Harris lost, right? It didn’t end there. So, silly me, I go with the scriptures and the modern day prophets.

No, by Christian I mean accept the historical teaching of Christianity which includes the New Testament.

You are different from us in that you do not believe in the Christian God as taught by Christ.

To call a group wrong depends on the specific claim they are making. When Mormons claim to be Christian, they are wrong. When Mormons claim to be part of a ‘restored’ Christian Church; they are wrong because they are not Christian

  1. We’re not saying you’re wrong because you’re different than us.
  2. We’re saying you’re wrong because you are objectively wrong about this issue.
  3. All of the logic, reason, history, Scripture and other things we can look at point to your stance being wrong. Does that make you a bad person, or make us sneering, japing clowns looking to troll you? No. It just means you’re wrong.
  4. The fact that you dodge questions here like a champ tells me that, deep down, you know all of this already.

somehow, it is hard to believe. Your lack of knowledge about the LDS Church is astounding.

But, I am glad you are being honest

yep…he is STILL dodging the questions about his prophet BY and BY’s scriptural sermons

John wrote that God created “all things”. What is the Mormon definition of “all”? What is the Mormon definition of “things”? So when John said that God created all things in Mormon-ese, does that translate to “everything except matter, light and intelligence” in Christian-ese?
And that is the whole issue. Mormons, they love to re-define terms in order to support their beliefs. ALL humans, including spirits are created…period!

Caught ya! It was Martin Harris. You can read about him in the Doctrine and Covenants.

There is nothing in Scripture to imply that. Nothing at all.

God created ALL THINGS. ALL THINGS.

A spirit, a soul, is a thing.

**ALL THINGS. **

Let’s hammer it in, one more time.

ALL THINGS.
But it is amazing how Mormons will not grasp such an easy position?

God created everything that was created. The** eternal things **did not need to be created.
Eternal things? A thing is exactly that…a CREATION! What Eternal things are you talking about? Souls? Nope! Created!

…he didn’t say anything about any Harris. YOU did. You didn’t catch anything.

Sorry, now I just smell a troll.

what was Martin Harris? I never mentioned him.

But, lets talk about Martin.

First, HE was the one to admit they never saw the gold plates except thru “spiritual eyes”

He was also the one to catch js with Fanny Alger committing adultry, which prompted js to come up with polygamy and prompted Bill Clinton to hit his head and say “I shoulda thought of that!”

I believe the words Harris used to
describe Smith and Alger were ‘a
dirty, nasty, filthy affair.’

You also were asking,
what was Martin Harris? I never mentioned him.
I think rmcmullan was just trying to
be smart, if you recall him saying,
You know about the 116 pages of manuscript **William **Harris lost, right?
I don’t think anybody even commented on
that, but he was still like ‘Caught ya’, like
he fooled us or something. I think maybe
he was the one who made a typo on his
part, too late to edit, so tried to cover it
up, this all is just my speculation though.

Either way, a little childish.

ah…U guess he is too busy dodging BY Scriptures that he will grasp at anything
