Oh Tom, there you go thinking you are smarter than everyone else. I’m sure you are very smug in your belief you have figured me out, but…I am not a simple woman.

I have no need to demonstrate I made the right decision in choosing to join the Catholic Church. In fact I disliked the LDS organization years before I converted to Catholicism. I went to college in Utah, I had to find out what all these people were talking about, the Mormon thing. So I did my research and I reached the conclusion based on my Christian background there was nothing true within the LDS. Living in predominate LDS areas since then did nothing to change my opinion on the matter.

When I felt called by God to return to Him, it never even occurred to me to search the LDS for I knew it was not of God and God could not be calling me there. God was calling me home. As sure as you are the LDS is write is as sure I am it is not. No equivocation at all, no doubt, no uncertainty, no question, the LDS is not a church from God. With that same certainty I know the Catholic Church is.

So if all you can do from now on is insult me Tom, just stop. It doesn’t make me appear as foolish as it does you.

I did not claim I was smarter than you and I did not claim I have you figured out. I claimed I have read pro-LDS documents instead of dismissed them because they are written by LDS (which is what you did).

Concerning figuring you out, I said:

I would suggest that if you read this you will see that I specifically claimed I did not have you figured out.

That being said, you have “disliked the LDS organization” for years. In my mind “It may be because you hate the CoJCoLDS” has another point of confirmation. I am a data driven guy so I will keep that in mind when I try to understand what drives you.

And where did I “insult you?” I just said you dismissed an article because it was written by a LDS and this is biased. I even claimed that one who KNOWS the truth doesn’t need to read articles that they know have nothing to teach them. I truly believe this.

What I also believe however is that if you enter into a dialogue on a subject, you SHOULD look at the opposing side. If that is insulting you, then I hope it doesn’t cause you too much pain and I am sorry for the pain you feel.

I may need to dial back my participation here a little so hopefully that will give you a needed respite from me. I think I have said most of what I need to say (if there was any of that at all), some that probably shouldn’t have been said, and a lot of things that are of little consequence.
