Do most of us really know our friends’ religious view points?

My closest friends are people I’ve met at church, so we’re pretty well in agreement.

No but its never been an issue you have to respect other peoples beliefs or you will come off the wrong way. You have to agree to disagree on things it has never ruined a friendship. You do run across the odd person in your life who will want you to believe what they believe and when you don’t their gone. They were never friends. A Baptist minister I worked with continuously tried to convert me and finally he just never spoke to me again and I know has condemned me to hell but thats life I avoid those types they are not real friends.

All my friends know I’m Catholic. Many of my friends completely oppose many of my Catholic beliefs. But no one talks about it: religion is a dangerous and touchy conversation.
I thank God for my Catholic friends, with whom I can really open up.

Most of my friends are not religious. Of the ones that are, most are Protestant or Moslem. Of the Catholics, extremely few agree with my view that the key elements of Vatican II should be dropped and the New Mass abandoned, but most agree that there is something deeply wrong with the church (and I believe the penny will drop pretty soon).

At work, my biggest allies in fighting the use of the insurance system for abortions, fighting the display of blasphemous works of art etc are evangelical Protestants and Moslems. The Catholics always run from the fight.

With, since Catholics ARE Christian, they agree with basic Christian fundamentals all Christians agree to. My Muslim friend agrees less, but agrees there’s only one God.

Baptists, Methodists, Anglicans, Muslims, and atheists all have reasons for not being Catholic. They may not be good reasons, mind you, but they are reasons.

Not at all. The friends that I have are pretty anti-religion. My religious friends are pretty distant and the Catholic ones are too extroverted and bubbly/open for sad old me. Thank God I can annoy you guys instead!

I have a variety of friends with a variety of beliefs. We rarely speak religion but when we do it’s always respectful with lots of questions and answers kind of discussion. They do question why I go to two different churches every week… I tell then cause God let’s me.😉

For the most part we respect each other.
