…yeah, thats pretty much my question.
has any CAF member ever married a muslim and wants to share?? or even knows someone in this situation??
(only because, i found out the dude, i maybe interested in, is in fact muslim but i dont think he practices.)

I know a non practising woman of Pakistani heritage who married a non believing American. Much more common is the nominal Christian woman who marries what she thinks is a non practising Muslim man.

The Christian must remember that her Bible teaches not to do it while Muslim men in their status of head of the spritual household is allowed to marry chaste women “of the book” meaning practising Christians and Jews. Since the man is the head while not forced all expect the woman to eventually submit to Islam. Muslim woman are not allowed to marry outside the faith in fear that she will follow her husbands lead and become an apostate to Islam.

It can work if the woman believes that her love for the man is more important then the teachings of her church or she concludes her church is wrong in its interpretation of being equally yoked. I am sure there are some cases where a Muslim will accept the divinty of Christ but in most the woman puts on the headscarf and declares there is one God but God and you know who was his final messenger.

Don’t go down that road. Find someone who shares your Faith, not someone who has a completely different concept of God and marriage.

…plus the fact that the non-Islamic wife would have no legal recourse if things go south and the husband up and takes the kids to a Moslem country. There they go, there they stay. No legal recourse for the mother whatsoever.
