Cite your evidence before making such terrible accusations?

When and Where did I accuse Jesus of doing street magic? Do not tell me without providing a link.

Why are you intentionally going off topic? Why wont you adress my CCC reference.

Why are you resorting to personal remarks that would offend our Lord.
You know, gay boy, if the truth offends you, there’s always the ignore button. 😃

What about the fact that Surah 112:3 of the Qur’an states لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ (lam yalid walam yulad) which means “He begetteh not, nor is He begotten”?

Sounds like a direct attack on the deity of Christ to me.

Vatican II, Nostra Aetate, H.H. Pope Paul VI, 1965

Since in the course of centuries not a few quarrels and hostilities have arisen between Christians and Moslems, this sacred synod urges all to forget the past and to work sincerely for mutual understanding and to preserve as well as to promote together for the benefit of all mankind social justice and moral welfare, as well as peace and freedom.

They are monotheists and they profess to believe in the God Of Abraham. There are commonalities. For example, a entire Surah on Mary.

But they also teach that if you believe Jesus to be God, you are committing “Shirk” which is like the Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, a unforgivable sin. And, like you mentioned, that God has no Son, period.

And the Koran is also hostile towards the Jews saying they were transformed into apes and pigs. Makes that reference in multiple ayats.

This is in direct contrast to :
Genesis 12:3New International Version (NIV)
3 I will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you.
And the Words of Jesus :
John 4:22King James Version (KJV)
22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews
.

And the Bible out dates the Koran, yet Islam claims it’s been all corrupted. This is in opposition to more of Jesus Words:
Matthew 24:35New International Version (NIV)
35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
I know the Church wants to improve relations with Muslims, but quite frankly, I would not have used such friendly language for Islam as we see in the Catechism. And the reason being is it can be misleading for those who are ignorant of what Islam actually teaches and believes. If I didn’t know much about Islam, I might be led to believe that they are just a slightly misinformed sect, not far from the Church. Which is obviously not true.

So personally I’ll never be found kissing a Koran or worshiping in a Mosque, I don’t care who else within the Church is doing this. There are major differences there and people need to know this.

Jesus Christ is God. So any Muslim who worships Jesus Christ as God, worships the same God as Christians.🙂

On the other hand, anyone who worships Jesus Christ as God is committing shirk, and therefore by definition is not a Muslim.

But then, they wouldn’t be Muslim. I think we shouldn’t forget that God is a trinity…“Father, Son, and Holy Spirit”. I believe Muslims worship the Father and Holy Spirit aspects of His nature while not having understanding of God as the Son.

Which likely equals a grand total of zero Muslims since he is regarded only as a prophet and pseudo-Messiah of sorts, only for Jewish eyes.

Interestingly enough, some Shi’ite Muslims pray to Mary and ask her to intercede on their behalf to Allah.

muslims believe in the One God or at least that is what the religion of Islam teaches, that there is only One God.

we christians also believe there is only One God.

muslims and christians disagree on the nature of the One God.

christians believe God is Three Persons.

i am not certain, but if muslims speak of God as a Person, they would say He is only one Person.

i think both christians and muslims would say the One God is all-powerful, infinite, eternal and perfect.

Exactly. Glad somebody got my feeble attempt at irony. Or is it sarcasm?🤷

Just to point out–and I’m sure you know this–Jews don’t use idols. Or icons or statues, for that matter.
You said Muslims believe in a false god because they reject the Trinity. Your logic would also apply to Jews

Materially, yes. Formally, no. And the formal differences are enough to make the Muslim beliefs about God heretical.

If you read Nostrae Aetate, there is also an assertion that Catholics and Hindus worship the same God. But nobody ever brings that up. Perhaps because people recognize that formally, Hinduism, with its rampant polytheism, does not worship the same God.
