Do Non-Catholics go to Heaven?

No one can say who will and won’t go to heaven. That is up to God. What I know is salvation is through Christ and Christ only. Jesus promises us something. That whoever seeks him will find him and whoever believes in him will have eternal life. Christ will not deny anyone who is searching for him with an open heart.

“I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live. For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself. And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.”

The answer is no. You can’t be in heaven if you’re not Catholic (everyone there is a Catholic). You can be saved if you’re … but when you die and in heaven, you’re a Catholic. I probably made it too confusing. 😃

But it’s easier for Catholics to go to heaven than Orthodox, easier for Orthodox than Protestants, a lot easier for Protestants than non-Christians who have never heard of Jesus (why we need missionaries!), and impossible for those who have rejected him.

No salvation outside the Church. catholic.com/thisrock/2005/0512fea3.asp

Essenes ruines have no meat in the dumps and teachings or writings seem to indicate vegetarianism( I think this was found in ruins rather recently)-- there is evidence Christ was an avid vegetarian yet for His feast days we all eat his beloved friends the lamb plus other animals and we eat as much as we can-- the church even allows meat on fast days. There is real evidence the Son of God was against meat eating.
Vegetarian, eh?

[BIBLEDRB]Luke 24:41-43[/BIBLEDRB]

How many vegetarians eat fish in front of witnesses?

While I have heard theories of Jesus being connected to the Essene community before, this one is pretty odd.

I totally agree with you. I sought truth all my life from a child. I grew up Protestant. Moved with my Catholic dad and became catholic, then I grew older, went to the seminary, saw a bunch of really bad examples of Catholics, including clergy. I later joined the Army, decided to become a priest to help change ore revive the Church. I met my wife, thought I found the true Church at the Church of Christ. Lived faithful for 18 years with a huge family of preachers, deacons, and elders/bishops. While there I learned things that I thought I had known as a Christian only, rejected the term Protestant because it implied something that was not the original Church founded by Christ. Ultimately as I became more imersed in scripture the more I discovered problems with all faiths, which sent me searching for truth continuously. And when I learned about Judaism and the early Christians, I found that in spite my assumption that a true Church would not have bad church leaders, I realized that was not true and by my own experiences in Protestant and Church of Christ congregations that none of them were even close to perfect or correct. They would skip over or explain away in a very lame way scripture passages they do not understand. It took me all of my life to figure this out and come to an understanding. I am continuing my search and as I try to disprove Catholicism I find that it defends itself. But you have to dig past the dissenters in the Church and find orthodox Catholic Church teachings that go to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd 4th and 5th centuries to understand what I discovered. The Church has always been Catholic. So many Catholics do not understand the Catholic faith. They have learned some watered down version of it or a very misguided version of it. The statistics show that 90% of Catholics don’t know the teachings of the Catholic Church.

So keep seeking truth.

What are your thought?
I voted yes. Who are we to say one way or the other? There are many good people in this world who are not Catholic or even Christian. Are we to play the role of God to say who is saved and who is not!
I believe there are Non-Catholic Christians who will make it to Purgatory but will have go through extensive R.C.I.A. before they are released! 👍
Final judgement will be made by God and all we can do is PRAY for is mercy!
PRAY PRAY PRAY…

😛 And it will be taught by Catholics who are in Purgatory for complaining about the terrible quality of the RCIA at their parish, but never volunteered or had time to help out in any way.

That is so true…👍 We have our work cut out for us to bring those back to the Body of Christ… The Catholic Church. 🙂

Are you including me in that statement?

I’ve been the subject of attempted proselytisation by JWs, Mormons and various evangelicals who urge me to “repent”, but never by a RC. Never.

Amen to that one:D

He might be, or he might not be. The no salvation outside the Church thing gets pretty complicated and is hard to understand. This - catholic.com/thisrock/2005/0512fea3.asp - is the best that I’ve ever heard for explaning it.

I believe that if people live a good life, full of charity and acts of kindness, then God will forgive them for a lack of faith.

I challenge you to quote a version of the Bilbe that shows Christ eating fish or meat that is varifiably older than 200 ad. They dropped vegetarianism out of the Christian religion when the Romans came into the fold. Christ was very likely an Essene and Essenes didnt eat meat and they didnt offer meat to God. theyuha.blogspot.com papalmass.blogspot.com
Modern science is proving what really happened 1000s of years ago, we have a lot to learn. What Catholics have tought about other older religions scandalizes me–they do not practice the way Christians describe them–especially Hinduism. When people realize the truth they will be quite angry. You can promote vegetarianism or say it is not necessary by quoting the Bible-- you cant do this with the VEDAS because they are fairly consistently against meat eating but the Bible has been changed. The West is in grave trouble, Christianity makes spiritual war on the older religions but in reality western religion is falling away from God–they cant even keep their churches in Europe half full yet they send millions$ to convert Hindus. Until this is corrected the world will get worse and worse until life on earth is dying off. The unnecessary killing and spiritual warfare must stop–Abortion is a direct result of a disregard for life-- Go stand by the curb with an antiabortion sign then go eat your steak-- this is hypocracy!

Speaking of foreigners, which planet did you come from?

I presume you are here at C.A.F. to learn more about the Catholic faith and dialogue with all of us here. Please show me where i’m urging you to repent in my statement?
It is our duty as Catholics to clear any misconception and present the truths of The Catholic Church to those who are not Catholic.

Matthew

The Catholic Church is only 2000 years old but Gods spiritual rhelm is millions or rather billions of years old and the universe is rather large. Jesus and Christ are names that were not even used 2000 years ago.His name was pronounced differently back in the time of His life. Man has been on earth 10s of thousands of years, some of the beliefs in judaism only started 2 or 3000 years ago and any spiritual realm that exists now existed 10000 years ago. The Church did not invent or find anything that was not there a million years ago and our salvation does not hinge on the last 1600 or 2000 years of history, Man has been worshipping God and thinking about the thereafter for at least 10,000 years. No political entity, king or group of Priests control God or where people go after they die. Jesus or rather Yeshua or the Son of God was an Essene, obviously He was not a pharacee or Saducee and many of the early Christians were Essenes. The Essenes do not and never did believe the way Catholics do, in fact there is an apparent discrepency between what ‘Christ’ seemed to practice and what Catholics promote or allowed. Some of the non Catholic people may be following the Lord better than the Catholics are!! I grew up a Catholic who ate meat 3 times a day living off of the misery of other creatures when other food was available. I have given up meat but we better forget aboth saving others, I think we in the Christian world are way off track- we better hope the Savior is merciful because we may be the biggest sinners of all. The’ second coming’ is coming- not to convert the Moslems or the Hindus but to re-teach the Son of God’s ways to Christianity which has fallen away from God!Forget about who is saved or not and save your own soul sister and brother! See my blog at papalmass.blogspot.com I have a comparison of the old and new mass there but it could be that if we go to any Mass every day but not live as the Savior did we have a slim chance for any good afterlife.
Are you Christian?

Yes but only non catholics is a choice? You’re slayin me here! hahahahaa
 You’re misunderstanding, the option “Yes, but only Non-Catholic Christians” means is for the Catholics who believe that other Christians (Protestants, Eastern Orthodox etc.) go to Heaven but not other Religions.
