Humans are social creatures. If a person spends too much time in the company of people who behave a certain way, that person will most likely change and conform.
An example: a man who is against patronising strip clubs and nearly all of his friends of about the same age don’t any moral objections to them. When a bachelor party for one of his buddies is held and a strip club is involved and the man is invited, he will feel immense pressure to join them despite his position on strip clubs. Many including married men often wind up going despite their opposition. Peer pressure is powerful and don’t for a second believe we are completely immune.
If you aren’t strong in your faith and are too shy in saying ‘no’ to people, it’s best not to associate with people who do bad things.
Even people who are strong in faith and are assertive enough to say ‘no’ to people should be ‘grounded’ with a circle of friends who don’t participate in bad behaviour before ‘associating’ with people who behave terribly. They should spend more time together with the former than the latter.
