Friends, do not flee the Church. Fight for it. Do not leave the Church. Lead it. It is not a mistake that we are here in this time. We have the opportunity to be a part of the great work of redemption, the great work of overcoming evil with good.

We can seize this moment. We can take part in Christ’s redemption and victory over sin and evil. Or we can point the finger at others and run. Our brothers and sisters who are victims deserve better. The Church deserves better. We deserve better.

We can act to do this, this article says, by straightening out our own lives, and becoming saints who can act.

Amen! Here, a little history is good. The Church has survived far, far worse times than these. As ugly as the allegations are, as many failures as have been noted - it was far worse in history. And yet, the Church still stands!

Besides, we must not be distracted or diverted from our faith by fellow sinners! If that is the case, then WE are guilty of distracting and diverting those in the pews with us! No, distraction and diversion are the devil’s tricks.

Rather than looking left and right, let us look up: to the perfection of God and the Sacred Deposit of Faith which He has preserved for all generations.

Amen. Alleluia!

The abuse scandals are awful. But I am not leaving Our Lord just because some have fallen short of the ideal of the priest and who have lived contrary to the Gospel. I have not lost any faith in this scandal as I know that the Catholic Church is the only true Church and that they gates of hell shall not prevail against it!

We must defend our faith. Thank the Lord for our Holy Father and all clergy.

God bless all clergy, religious and laypeople.

Just because a tiny percentage of priests have fallen short of the gospel will never cause me to doubt that the Catholic Church is the home for all the faithful.

Everybody has a vocation, and God leaves out nobody from his plan.
