Do not have Latin Mass available. How do I navigate the increasingly Protestant Novus Ordo mass?

How can I navigate the increasingly Protestant Novus Ordo mass. The closest Latin Mass is 2 1/2 hours away. Not possible to attend.
 
Please tell us exactly how it is “increasingly Protestant” so we can help you.

Same way millions of other Catholics who are not Protestants do. Go to the church, follow along in the missal, say the prayers, receive the Eucharist.
 
I love the Latin Mass, but the closest is pretty far away. I keep a checklist of what I like in a Mass.
Organ
Congregational Singing(Nearly Impossible)
Reverent Laity
Compelling Homily
The Eucharist(CHECK!)
 
I don’t think that you’ve ever been to a protestant service if you believe that the Ordinary Form looks anything like one.

If you are so displeased with what the Church affirms is an equally valid form of the Mass, then simply make that 2 1/2 hour drive.

The irreverence, music, people talking before, during and after mass, hard to pray with all of the noise, a priest who feels he has to entertain and is “jokey”. The list goes on. I’ve been to Latin Mass where my daughter lives out of state and the difference is “deafening.” I have spoken to my priest and have written the bishop over a year ago. Silence. Don’t get me wrong I love the Catholic faith. Just want God revered. Simple.

Are there any other parishes or mass times at your parish where there is more reverence?

Many often find that the early morning Sunday Mass (6am, 7am, 8am) tends to be more reverent at many parishes because it’s frankly too early for people to be chatty, and many parishes don’t pay for musicians at the early Mass.

None of this is “Protestant” and none of it has to do with what Mass is said.

It all has to do with people being people.
 
To the OP: Have you considered attending a Divine Liturgy? Is that option available to you?

I once attended a Lutheran memorial for my niece. Resembled very much a Catholic Mass.

And plenty of Anglican/Episcopal churches also have services that greatly resemble the Mass. Some would even call it the Mass.

It’s almost as if Protestants aren’t a homogeneous group and there is a spectrum of reverence and solemnity.

They have good music and organists too. I’ve been to many recitals at some of those churches.

Heck, the Catholic Church even has some former Anglican parishes that continue to use a form of the Mass based on the Anglican tradition. For example, this church where I attended Mass while on vacation in Orlando last May:

The OP is indeed complaining about a people issue. The heading of his or her post misleads as it states “Protestant” and “Novus Ordo,” as if those were at fault. The OP needs to separate these things from the complaint. If reverence is lacking and you have tried to alert people and the pastor but it is not working, find another Catholic Church. But make sure not to unfairly slam Protestant worship or the completely legitimate Catholic Novus Ordo Mass while doing so.

you want God revered the way you think he should be revered. All of these things you listed are personal dislikes and not really evidence of a ‘protestant’ service. You have everything you need for a valid and Holy Mass in the OF.

One solution might be to find a broadcast of a Latin Mass. That way you could have the Mass the way you like it and not have to worry about the people around you. You’d have to give up the Eucharist though.
