So I say that I don’t like the pope because of the decisions he is making and the people he is praising that are proabortion, but I am told not to judge. Why is it when I don’t like someone’s behavior such as the pope because it goes against scripture and doctrine that I am judging? Ugh! I just want to smack someone! It’s not like I don’t lovingly pray for those that do wrong, but I cannot condone the behavior and the outcome of said behavior. If something is bad for the soul why entertain it? Yet, I am judging. People annoy me. Opinions? Am I wrong?

You can judge actions, not people. And judging the Pope’s actions is fine, but for me, I recognise that the man is far holier than I am and I feel it would be prudent to remove the forest from my own eye before I start complaining about any potential splinters in his.

I used to like him until I started paying attention and learning about Freemasonry and Fr. Malachi Martin. Then I understood everything I had missed. Because most people overlook what they do not know or understand.

A big plus one to this … you said it perfectly.

Feemasonry? Are you suggesting the Holy Father is a Freemason or supports them? Or do you mean that you agree with something Freemasonry says about the Pope?

Fr Malachi Martin. Do you mean the prophecies, so-called, about the names of Popes to come? If so, what has that to do with our current Pope?

I don’t think an entire Thread about Pope bashing belongs on this website and where exactly is the pope pro-abortion? Because I’ve seen no evidence of it I’ve also seen him speak out against gay marriage in fact he told the politicians in Argentina off because of gay marriage. You don’t like the pope because of something you saw on the news that’s what it is isn’t it? I’m so sick of people not actually knowing what the Pope says. Like the people who honestly thought that he thought that there was no hell people believed that he said that. Which doesn’t make any sense because not too long after that he told the mafia that if they don’t convert, they will go to hell. I had an ex-girlfriend of mine who shared something on her Facebook where apparently the person who she shared thought the pope said that we could save ourselves on our own actions. Well, I actually read what he said and he didn’t say that. What he said is that we can only be saved through Jesus Christ and the grace of God that sounds pretty unpelagianist to me. I am sorry, but if you call yourself any sort of Catholic then you owe your loyalty to the Pope.

The Pope is no Freemason. People see stuff on the internet and believe it’s true. The Pope is, however the Vicar of Christ on Earth. I don’t mind so much when people simply disagree with something he says, I do mind when people attack him especially with things that aren’t true.

OK so your thoughts and ideas are yours… but why do you have to express them to others? THAT is what goes wrong.

Just keep the thoughts where they belong. In your mind,

itis then you get angry when others do not agree with you and why should they?

Why do YOU have to "condone"anything? Not your job or mine

Dear Lord! If I went round accusing like that ! not my job and I do nto feel the need.

Please provide a specific and respected source of the Vicar of Christ supposedly praising people that are proabortion. What exactly did he say?
I’m pretty sure you may disagree with the Supreme Pontiff, but I would hope your disagreement is completely devoid of pride. Your disagreement must also be respectful.
I echo the sentiments regarding splinters and logs, tread very carefully.
The Luciferian media seems to love spinning stories by misquoting the pope. Can you please provide an example where he his behavior has gone against scripture and doctrine?

I have been praying a LOT for our Pope. I do have a problem with his confusing statements. I have taken into a account that he grew up in a very different culture, but his
remarks still seem…confusing. That is after I have read several sources on what he said.
I want to hear a response to the cardinals that have asked for clarification.
So I do understand the poster.

http://religionnews.com/2015/11/20/pope-francis-say-lutherans-can-take-communion-catholic-mass/ Here’s a huge problem I have, his words suggest that you can talk to God about still being a Protestant yet taking the eucharist.
And 6 months earlier in Mexico he said that what he might be saying something that is foolish or heretical "Y me viene a la mente decir algo que puede SER una insensatez, o quizás una herejía, no sé.” Ser means “to be.” There is no other way to translate this phrasing. "And it comes to my mind to say something that may be foolish or perhaps a heresy, I don’t know.” And goes on to say that Catholics and Protestants are one. And the fact that he left the door open for further discussion for Lutherans to have communion within the Church shows where his agenda is. Every leader has an agenda for their office. Obviously, not everyone around him agrees with him. But yet he has been shuffling people around him and bringing new people in to the Vatican.

Something seems terribly wrong about all of this. To be clear, I initially liked him, but lately, no.

I think the question is, can we disregard it because it is annoying?

Who is disregarding it?

People take it out of context.

We are supposed to judge, but judge rightly.

There are many places in the Bible that say to have righteous judgment than that say do not judge. But those who don’t know their Bible well don’t understand it, which is why it is annoying. They want us to be passive over what is wrong in the world, and say, “Oh well, I cannot judge.”

Wrong. For 2,000 years the Catholic Church has exercised its authority to tell us which shows we cannot see, which books we cannot read, which activities and festivities we cannot be apart of, but slowly the past 2 centuries the Church has allowed us to be more and more apart of pagan society, and now most Catholics don’t even know what is right or wrong and what weakens their faith and relationship with God.

We can and we should judge rightly.

Consider John 7:24:

“**Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly.”
**
We’re told here to judge rightly, using the same Greek word for “judge” as in Matt 7, rather than turning off our brains and foregoing judging altogether :).

Who is disregarding it?
I cannot speak to your experience, but my own experience suggests that many many many people disregard it.

Now, lest anyone get the wrong idea, I’ll add that I also believe that many many many people disregard Christ’s words about divorce, or his statement “This is my body” or “Upon this rock I shall build my church” or whatever other statement of his annoys them.

Just so. One writer can use the same word that another writer used, in a different sense.
In either case we’re not being told that we’re not to discern between right and wrong-that would be foolishness. Matt 7:1 is using the word to tell us that we have no right to condemn anyone-that would be the right of God, alone.

Well said, fhansen.

As a Catholic, I’m reminded of when the Pope asked “Who am I to judge?” Not, of course, “Who am I to discern right and wrong?” but “Who am I to judge?”
