Do not judge is so annoying

According to his vicar general he kept his vow of chastity. So, I don’t know what to believe on that. Because I actually am not judgmental. As the original poster, my point is that I am annoyed by those who take the do not judge out of context.

And just because someone is a sinner doesn’t mean that you automatically count them out, otherwise no one would be reliable witnesses.
So who is judging on that?

And I see signs of the occult all over the entertainment industry and our government so I will not count it out when many things have been accurately predicted by those talking about what the elite "illuminati " are up to, or the information about what they have been doing comes out years before everyone else catches on.

And our government keeps a lot from us, so why wouldn’t they keep area 51 from us? They denied the effects of agent orange for decades, now they are finally admitting to it.

So I say that I don’t like the pope because of the decisions he is making and the people he is praising that are proabortion, but I am told not to judge. Why is it when I don’t like someone’s behavior such as the pope because it goes against scripture and doctrine that I am judging? Ugh! I just want to smack someone! It’s not like I don’t lovingly pray for those that do wrong, but I cannot condone the behavior and the outcome of said behavior. If something is bad for the soul why entertain it? Yet, I am judging. People annoy me. Opinions? Am I wrong?
I think you are missing out on a big source of joy, bro!

Sure, maybe some of what the Pope has said has been, technically, objectively, a bit careless. He does say some pretty wildly inclusivistic things at times without doing the work to put those inclusivistic sentiments into their proper exclusivist context. and as a result people can be lead astray.

But we all say and do ignorant stuff at times. We are all sinners saved by grace. Even the best of us. There was a very good reason why the Lord Jesus Christ said, (as I remember it) “Do not judge, or else you will be judged also. With the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you!” Because the moment we condemn someone else, we condemn ourselves! Not everyone is equally as heinous, but unless God is merciful towards us, even the little sins we commit are enough to condemn us.

Furthermore, we do not know the content of other people’s experiences. We do not know their intentions. We do not know exactly what God has asked them to walk through, and we do not know exactly how much of the truth God has revealed to them thus far.

In any given case, even though a person may be technically, objectively in the wrong - but because of ignorance they are not to blame for, and sincerely good intentions, they could not only be innocent of wrong doing but in fact they could even be deserving of some well qualified praise for their actions.

God judges our hearts. He does not judge the success of our actions. When I realized that, I became a much more joyous person. God is not an angry judge looking down on honest mistakes and calling them sins and condemning us for them. No, God is a just judge. He does not rule harshly. He gives grace to the pitiful. He knows that generations of sin has caused our minds to be dull and our hearts to be numb. He doesn’t expect perfection, He only expects that we pursue the good with sincerity and compassion.

Yeah, Pope Francis has some loose lips sometimes. So what?!? That is one of the reasons why we love the goof ball. And his radical message of universal mercy and grace to all people is not unlike that of our Lord’s. 😉

I just want to encourage you to open up your heart, take a far less critical view of the world around you, and realize that the God of Heaven loves us with such an infinite, indescribable, unfathomable love. This is the message of the Gospel. Being zealous for this truth, for the Truth, is to imitate that love. While we were still sinners, God loved us and gave His Only Son for us.

God is not as legalistic as He can sometimes sound. In fact, He is not legalistic at all. Salvation is about an ever deepening relationship with God, not about following rules. The rules themselves do not have a stand alone dignity and value, but people do. Rules were created to serve man, not the other way around.

Maybe I am completely off in my assumption about whats going on with you. But from my own experience, I got annoyed about “Do not judge” back when I was still doing a whole lot of judgin’. 😃

What it means, I have come to find out, is that there is hope for everyone. There is grace for everyone. There is love and mercy for everyone. The benefit of the doubt is for everyone. The Devil is the one who accuses people of their faults. God is the one who defends us even when He knows were wrong.

Christ calls us to be defenders of people, just like He is a defender of people. When the women caught in adultery was brought before Him, what did He do? According to the Law she should have been stoned to death. But He knew she was guilty and still found a way to rescue her.

Every single human being has a reason for who they are and what they do. It may not be an objectively righteous reason, but circumstances have brought them to take the course they have taken. We can either look at them through the lens of the law, and see all the ways in which they are wrong and guilty. Or we can look at them through the lens of the Gospel of God’s love, and see all the ways in which they are beautiful and worthy. For Christ died to save them, and the life of the Only Begotten is worthy indeed.

Pope Francis, all the super inclusivistic liberals way to the left of him; Baptist Fundamentalists and those to the right of them; atheists who have never been given a revelation of God sufficient for them to acknowledge His existence; Muslims who have been raised to believe according to their elders and stubbornly refuse to worship Christ because they believe it idolatry… all these groups of people are loved by God. All are redeemed. All are called to be holy. It is not our job to judge them. They are loved by God. It is our job to love them and do whatever we can to help them come to know God. This does not come about through a focus on the rules. It comes about through sincere and authentic friendship, and open and honest dialogue about the core elements of the faith.

Don’t judge, bro! Judging gets the mojo all out of whack. Trust in God’s love and let His love inspire you to love. Even the most vile, heretical, sinful, unbelieving pagan. Even the most careless, irresponsible, unfruitful, incompetent Bishop. Don’t judge. Love. I am pretty sure that is how this Christian life is supposed to work.

Because the quote is misunderstood. You see, it doesn’t say not to Judge, Its says if you judge you will be judged by the exact same criteria. I have no problem being judged by the standards that I use to judge other people actions as I am not a hypocrite.

Can we have a moratorium on telling others about our ‘charity’ and ‘mercy’ too? Let’s make it go a little like charades - you can’t talk about it (or judge others about it) - just gotta do it. In silence and humility - and for real, in real time. Can’t talk about it afterwards either.

Major red flag (inside or outside the Church) that I have always marvelled at - repeated, emphatic praise of ‘mercy’ and ‘charity’ should give you a little pause - along the lines of hearing repeated praise of ‘tolerance.’ In fact I think it is actually a blessing to be naturally disinclined to discourse too much about these things. You are definitely either humble or honest. Possibly even charitable.

I don’t doubt that your not, but you kinda sound like one. 😃

http://religionnews.com/2015/11/20/pope-francis-say-lutherans-can-take-communion-catholic-mass/ Here’s a huge problem I have, his words suggest that you can talk to God about still being a Protestant yet taking the eucharist.
And 6 months earlier in Mexico he said that what he might be saying something that is foolish or heretical "Y me viene a la mente decir algo que puede SER una insensatez, o quizás una herejía, no sé.” Ser means “to be.” There is no other way to translate this phrasing. "And it comes to my mind to say something that may be foolish or perhaps a heresy, I don’t know.” And goes on to say that Catholics and Protestants are one. And the fact that he left the door open for further discussion for Lutherans to have communion within the Church shows where his agenda is. Every leader has an agenda for their office. Obviously, not everyone around him agrees with him. But yet he has been shuffling people around him and bringing new people in to the Vatican.

Something seems terribly wrong about all of this. To be clear, I initially liked him, but lately, no.
I mean this in the nicest possible way, but you are being misled by the readings of Malachi Martin.
This sort of stuff creates division and confusion within the Catholic Church and the one “person” who wants that-satan.

The Pope is not like a political leader, or office manager, that has an agenda of power and wishing to advance things for himself and want to make a “name for themselves” in their “leadership term”.
This,to be honest,is not the best analogy,as a chosen Pope is there to serve the people, not his own self or agenda, and often does not even wish to become the Pope (unlike political leaders).
For people who believe the Catholic Church is originated by Peter, believe that the “election” of the person who becomes the Pope is guided by the Holy Spirit.
If we can’t trust that God guides the person that has been made Pope, then what can we trust?

Pope Francis words should be taken in context.
The Pope praising Emma Bonino was regarding a different matter and he certainly wasn’t praising her for abortions and he stated that she thinks different from Catholics but that we shouldn’t build walls.
It’s not suggested to blindly not question any of the Popes words, but it would be much more fruitful to pray for the Holy Spirit to continually guide him rather than read those websites your reading.

Thi topic reminded me of something I brought up in my RCIA/Adult Confirmation (the latter being my portion) class last week. The Deacon was talking about the Pope’s “infalliability” and that it does not mean the Pope is not also human and takes confession like the rest of us. That said he did say the “infalliable” part is in relation to the Church, so perhaps the Pope is being guided by the Holy Spirit and we have yet to understand the reasons why or what the results may be. As for not judging, I think it is fine to have your own opinions, agree or no, but it is not your place to “judge” --as in draw conclusions based on your own understanding. Gd is the only one with the information qualified to judge in this situation, and perhaps most. YMMV. 🤷
