Yeah. Get it at House of Hansen. They have some very high quality stuff there.

House of Hansen: Clergy Capes, Hats, Zuchettos, Birettas
How does one measure someone’s head without the person knowing it?
As for getting his hat size, maybe you could sneak in and get it when he is asleep (Cue the Spy music) …

Or…

You could maybe get him a baseball cap, and after he adjusts it, wait until he takes it off, and when he doesn’t notice, quickly measure the inside. 😉

Hey. It’s worth a shot…🤷😃 it’s all I can think of.

JimG:
The three cornered hat for outside wear is called the biretta
. Like the zucchetto, it comes in different colors for priest, bishops, and cardinals. But it’s not very popular anymore among parish priests.

Or, in the case of Jesuits, a four-cornered version minus the pouf. This is also called a “doctoral” or “academic” biretta.

What! the little pouf is the best part.
in the “hood” I bet the priest has a biretta and a glock. 😃
I just wear a heavy crucifix. I do like my zucchetto thou too.
functional and stylish.

Actually, I buy my parochial vicar his zucchettos online at Euroclero, straight from Rome. You can find them here at:

www.euroclero.it

If you need to call them, they do speak English. The prices are reasonable, and heck, with the euro falling, they may even be lower. The zucchettos are fine quality and they even have the ones for a monsignor. I bought my friend two of them.

A question, for those knowledgeable on such things…

in “The Church Visible” Noonan remarks that lower clergy ‘in choir’ and not concelebrating cannot wear the skullcap unlike former practice when it was allowed to all clergy not celebrating Mass. Does anyone know a citation for this new rule?
