They believe the Magi visited. Whether any particular group has a feast day or anything similar is another matter.
Epiphany mass this morning was crowded - the Catholic primary school came along for it. It was great -
The children actually sing with a volume of more than one decibel. If only the adults could do the same.
The children, from the primary school, read the scripture readings at a volume everyone could hear. If only the priests and adult readers could do the same consistently.
The children were there nearly 30 minutes before mass. If only all the adults could be early (or at least try to be).
The children sat quietly before mass. If only the adults could do the same.
Things are really turned on their heads when it is the unconfirmed little children setting the good example for the confirmed adults.
Still, I shouldn’t complain - at least the adults who are at mass are actually at mass and pay good attention to the liturgy.
I was sad though. For a number of reasons I can’t send my 5 year old daughter to the Catholic school. It is a real shame. But it did give me the idea of approaching the school to see if they have suitable materials for me to try teaching her the faith. So that was good.
