Their help: Is it guaranteed?

Thank you.

I don’t think a Saint would ever deny us prayers if we ask for them with a sincere heart. Will they always pray for exactly what we ask for? Not necessarily – they may have more insight into God’s will for us than we do, but we can be certain that if we ask a Saint to pray for us they will. They will always ask God to help us and strengthen us to do His will.

Don’t hesitate to ask the Saints for prayers, they won’t ignore you!

If I asked you to pray for me, would you? Probably so, as long as you did not forget me.

My parents have a prayer list, over 300 people they name every day in their morning prayers. I’m not that good yet.

Well, the saints are perfected, so they don’t forget and don’t run out of time to pray for us.

Ok… fair enough. It’s just hard to imagine the saints caring about me.

Yeah but we’ve never met. How fervent could their prayers be?

They are perfected in heaven, so, their prayers will be perfect.

If you ask sincerely, their help is guaranteed, but it doesn’t mean God will give you what you are asking for.
The saint will pray for you and if he or she is informed by God that your request is not God’s will, they will pray for you to accept God’s will and be close to God and persevere, etc.

They’re in Heaven enjoying the Beatific Vision of God. Their prayers are as perfect as one can get.
Also, if you’ve taken the time to get to know them and pray to them, you’ve met them. Just not on the physical plane. They no doubt know quite a bit about you.

If someone asks you to pray for them, do you do it? Sure, if you’re a saint, at least.

Do you always pray in the way they specify and ask for whatever they intend to get from the Almighty? Let’s hope not. Someone who is wiser than we are will pray more wisely than we will. They try to exert a good influence on us when we go to them, if we are open to that, too.

The person who is the best friend to you is not the one who happens to like you best, but the one who is the best person. A saint is entirely within the will of God. This is an excellent choice as a friend to pray on your behalf and to exert an influence on you as a friend. Likewise, the prayers on your behalf are not the most fervent from the person who knows you best but rather from the person who always prays the most fervently. Again: bet on the saint. Have all your friends praying for you, but cultivate some friendships among the saints.

Another suggestion: pray to your Guardian Angel.
Your Guardian Angel was given to you – and only you – specifically by God to protect, guide, and help you. Your Angel is always praying for you and knows you very well, since it has been at your side since you were created. Your Angel’s mission is to help you get to heaven – you can be certain that it will always be fervent in its prayers for you.

The saints will too, but I think it’s comforting to know that we each have an Angel that God hand-picked to aid us on our journey. You are the only soul that your Guardian Angel will ever be assigned to watch over so intimately.

Yes! You were given a Guardian Angel regardless so you can take comfort in that 🙂
