Regarding the comment of ‘millions’ of reincarnations…
We believe in only One Lord Jesus Christ…the One Lord Who stands present at the High Altar of God Most High in heaven…
Recall the gifts of Melchizedek…after battle, he presented the ordinary gifts of bread and wine vs a sacrificial, bloody sacrificial feast…and prophecized the one, perfect sacrifice to come.
Jesus did not provide the meat of a sacrificial lamb at the Last Supper. He Himself was to be come the One, Bloody Sacrifice for the atonement of sin…and new life.
The coming, perfect one sacrifice – in form as nourishment is provided us in precursors in the Old Testament…manna from heaven to feed the Jews wandering in the desert for 40 years…and the 40 day lapse between the resurrection to Pentecost, – our food both Flesh and Spirit, in the Old Testament, the multiplication of bread and oil for the widow and her son who shared all the little they had with Ezekial, to the placement of Christ in an animal feeder in the manger at Bethlehem at his birth, to the Lord’s own miracles of feeding crowds of people with the multiplication of food…
God is outside of us. God is outside of space and time. His will alone of a simple ‘yes’ gives us life. The Divinity is the reality in the Eucharist that breaks the mystery of the limitations of our earthly life to become present to us.
We are nourished on the One Eucharist – One Bread, One Body…and again, we cannot understand the effects on the Body of Christ when we are in divisions from one another and cannot come in oneness with each other to the Banquet Table.
We have no idea how much this fracture affects our witness of the One Lord to the world.
