I once asked a similer question, as a baptised Christian (Church of England) but not-yet-confirmed Catholic. I was told to go ahead and pray for The Church Suffering and let Mother Mary worry about the details. That intentions are what is important. If the non-baptized persons are honest and sincere in their prayers, I am confident that Jesus and Mary will accept them. But this is just a personal opinion.
