Do traditionalists generally sympathise "more" w/ the Eastern Catholic Liturgy?

Uhhmm - what’s a Patristic quotation?

A quotation from the Fathers, obviously. To many ultramontanes, quotes from the Eastern fathers are sometimes discomfiting.

And please don’t refer to Latin/Roman rite Catholics as “regular” Catholics, as you did in this thread. It seems to imply that the Eastern Catholics are somehow IRregular, and only in the Church on sufferance.

It seems to me that they sympathise w/ the eastern catholic liturgy than maybe “regular” catholics would or at least they seem to have a greater awareness of it…

What do you think?
As you can see in my quote I used the phrase ““regular” Catholics”, with “regular” in quotes, in reference to those Latin Rite Catholics who attend the Novus Ordo - the vast majority of ALL catholics. And I also used it in contrast to “traditionalist” Catholics - not in contrast to the Eastern Catholics.

Also - the first time I heard the word “ultramontane” was in the works of a schismatic group of “Old Catholics” - so I’m not sure if that word is advisable. I see it as having a derogatory connotation.
