Do unbaptized people go to Heaven?

I have read in other threads that the Catechism states that unbaptized persons can go to Heaven. My question is whether this teaching of the Church says that they necessarily will receive the Beatific Vision if they seek truth and through no fault of their own do not receive baptism or whether they merely have the possibility of entering Heaven which we entrust to the mercy of God. In particular, I ask this because it would seem that we may only hope for the salvation of unbaptized adults if the Church teaches that we can only hope in the salvation of unbaptized infants who have committed to actual sin.

Any help or correction in this regard would be greatly appreciated.
