Do unto others as you will like them to do unto you. This is the teachings of Muhammad and Jesus.

This appeared on another thread and I found it fascinating.

Could Sufi and other Muslims please comment?

Does Islam really teach that Muhammad taught this phrase as well???

If so, Jesus should of copyrighted it and made a fortune.

If you believe Muhammed teaching this, then why not believe in Jesus, as it seems Jesus taught the same things.

Is the phrase "do unto others…"really in the Qur`an?

Not even having to find the phrase verbatim in any of Mo’s teachings… I just don’t think the golden rule is even remotely compatible with Islam. There are teachings about the repurcussions of harming fellow Muslims, but those outside the religion are always seen as inferior.
