Do we all worship the same God?

How can I best answer a fellow Catholic friend who is trying to convince me that the God of the Catholic teaching is the very same god of Buddhists, Hindus, etc., and essentially that “they are just about the same.” He is a follower and devotee of Fr. Richard Rohr of Albuquerque fame.
