do we know wat Jesus did between the age of 12 to 30… as in we do not have any biblical accounts of it…
thru faith i was thought that he was obedient to His parents and remained there…
however do v have any documented supporting this…
cos recently i heard of a BBC documentary claiming Jesus went to India to study buddhism… and therefore there is a lot of similarity betweeen His teachings and that of Buddha
Matthew 2:23
*He went and dwelt in a town called Nazareth, so that what had been spoken through the prophets might be fulfilled, “He shall be called a Nazorean.” *
Matthew and Luke both state that Jesus lived in Nazareth and make no mention of Jesus going anywhere else. It is highly unlikely Jesus went anywhere else for any extended period of time since Jesus seems to have been known in Nazareth (Mark 6:3; Matthew 13:55). Jesus is also associated exclusively with Nazareth (John 1:46; John 19:19; Luke 18:37; Matthew 21:11 Acts 10:38; Acts 26:9). Even the demons associate Jesus with Nazareth (Luke 4:34).
There is simply no evidence that Jesus was anywhere other than Nazareth between the ages of 12 and 30. Given that Jesus’ family was known in Nazareth, if Jesus had gone away for an extended time to study another religion it would have been so odd and strange that it seems that someone would have used that against Jesus at some point. However no one ever claimed Jesus was preaching a foreign religion or was preaching ideas learned outside of Judaism.
