Do we need a mediator to approach Christ?

I am reading Louis De Montfort and some things are setting off alarms. He says that we are too corrupt to approach our mediator, Christ, and that we need to approach Him through Mary. Is this an article of faith? Also, he seems to be saying that Mary has been given the power to dispense grace. That just doesn’t seem kosher. Personally, I think I’m corrupt enough to need a mediator with the Blessed Mother(and probably several other middle men) and I thought that though Mary could petition on our behalf, she couldn’t dispense graces herself. Guidance , please.
