Trent was called following the Protestant Reformation to set the rules straight regarding its Catholic membership. The rules worked for 400 years and hopefully will until eternity.

It’s called integrity of the Church. It listens to all its councils and Popes.

Churchill said that one advantage of Chamberlain’s policy of appeasement was that no fair-minded person could blame the war on Britian.
I always think you can say a similar thing about Vatican II.At least no-one can now blame Christian disunity on the unwillingness of the Church to make compromises.

The point of saying that jmj603 is if going to a valid Mass is a sin, what hope is there of salvation!!! 😦 Not that we want to sin.🤷
