Do we receive Judgement the moment we die?

I was taught that no there is no “second chance” to accept or reject God after death.

Who the heck would ever choose to go to Hell after dying and coming face to face with the reality of Heaven/Hell anyway

I really think that there are those who, no matter what, will refuse to accept God’s mercy. Hell is separation of from God. The choices we make here will be the choices we make before God. All of us are given every opportunity to see and experience God’s mercy and love.

We may not have all the knowledge. But if we go through life hating life, hating people, grasping, greedy, nasty, bitter, angry: our bitterness will go with us. If we refuse to say. “My God, My God, have mercy on me - a sinner.” while we are here on Earth. We may very well say, “I want nothing to do with you. You are unfair, unjust and I hate you.”

So we must practice saying, “My God. My God. Have mercy on me - a sinner” now. So we will be able to say these words standing before God’s judgement.

We must remember God set the laws that create black holes and novae. He isn’t a soft warm fuzzy.

I have my doubts about that, Being created as intelligent angels, especially Satan, they KNEW what God was, they KNEW he was all powerful and it would not be possible to literally take over his throne. I think they were doing exactly what they were intended for, they ‘rebelled’ because for there to be free will for us humans, there needed to be ‘an enemy’ or better word, there needed to be another choice besides God, an alternative to good if you like.

Pride is not an answer either, there are prideful people in our world, lets say a criminal is prideful, he thinks he can get away with every kind of robbery, banks, gas stations, etc. He thinks he is so smart, he can never be caught…but on the other hand, he also recognizes he could never successfully rob Fort Knox, he is very prideful, but he still can recognize common sense too.

This would be akin to the ‘story of the fall’ imo, I think the story was told to us in a way we could understand, so we can recognize the enemy, because the story of the fall makes sense to us in human terms, trying to comprehend God creating satan and the demons to intentionally BE the alternative to good, is not so easy for humans to understand, we cannot relate to that.

What would our world look like if there were no demons or fallen angels? Who would be there to tempt and test mankind? There would have been no snake in the garden, trying to tempt adam and eve to take the first bite.

In reality, for to us to even have the gift of free will, there must be an alternative choice to good.
