I’m about to go on a big first date with a girl in a little over a week. I must admit that I’m getting a bit nervous/anxious. Do women get nervous, too?
I don’t know why they wouldn’t. Just as guys are anxious for the date to like them and want to avoid looking stupid, girls worry about the same things.I’m about to go on a big first date with a girl in a little over a week. Yes, sometimes excessively. :sad_yes:I’m about to go on a big first date with a girl in a little over a week. I must admit that I’m getting a bit nervous/anxious. Do women get nervous, too?
Nah. Never. That’s why we never buy new clothes, never take two hours getting ready or put our deodorant on twice or … um …I’m about to go on a big first date with a girl in a little over a week. I must admit that I’m getting a bit nervous/anxious. Do women get nervous, too?
Uh. sometimes yes and sometimes no.I’m about to go on a big first date with a girl in a little over a week. I must admit that I’m getting a bit nervous/anxious. Do women get nervous, too?
Was it a blind date?I was until…the day DH arrived for our first date. My roommate opened the door, and I heard him, very clearly, ask for the wrong girl! :bigyikes:
Since he was kind enough to make the first major blunder, I could relax!![]()
I get excited more than nervous.I’m about to go on a big first date with a girl in a little over a week. I must admit that I’m getting a bit nervous/anxious. Do women get nervous, too?
Sadly, no. But to be fair, he had been spending a lot of time with this other girl (who was oblivious to his affections) so may have been on auto pilot. Was it a blind date?
Um, how much more is there beyond making sure breath is good, good clothes (including shoes), combed hair and car is cleaned on inside and outside?I’m not a woman, but the answer is yes. My friend says it’s natural and she always gets really nervous right before a date. She questions her outfit, her makeup, pretty much everything a guy goes through before a date, except of course for the makeup part.![]()
Gosh, isn’t that enough?Um, how much more is there beyond making sure breath is good, good clothes (including shoes), combed hair and car is cleaned on inside and outside?
What kind of guy is setting up a date if his car doesn’t work? Can’t you just ask her friends what she likes to do? What kind of guy is going on a date if he is broke? Get advice from her friends. That’s easy.Gosh, isn’t that enough?
But since you insist, there’s more, like making sure the car works, organising the date in the first place, deciding where you are going, making sure you’ll be doing something you’ll both enjoy, making sure you have enough money to pay for it, trying to anticipate what she will wear so that what you wear is in sync, keeping the conversation going, but again making sure it is in sync with her conversational style …
Goodness, I’m not really saying that he has to take her somewhere that isbeyond his means or anything - I’m saying that these sort of considerations and planning (including, as you say, consulting with her friends) of course mean he has much more to think about than just clean self, clean clothes and clean car. You’ve actually proven my point very well. What kind of guy is setting up a date if his car doesn’t work? Can’t you just ask her friends what she likes to do? But the thing is you do this before you ask her on a date and the other stuff is when you are preparing to go on the date. They are different phases.Goodness, I’m not really saying that he has to take her somewhere that isbeyond his means or anything - I’m saying that these sort of considerations and planning (including, as you say, consulting with her friends) of course mean he has much more to think about than just clean self, clean clothes and clean car.
