very popular among teens
Actually my friends and i use it and we are in our late 20’s. It is great way to keep in touch with people. Sometimes you don’t have time to call or assoicate with everyone all the time. IT’s like you have your own little web page and can put pictures and other suff up there. Facebook has helped me stay in contact with HS and College and all my catholic friends across the city.

Yes some of the groups and ads are not very clean. You have to make a decision on what things you want on your web page. You have control over most everything except the imbedded ads.

ok ok. what is HS? when i play games it means " HEADSHOT"
haha but seriously it means that. but what does it mean here?

I wouldn’t and don’t but I’m beyong Facebook’s target age group. I have no need to keep in touch with my real friends through the internet and I don’t need to meet anyone that way either.

My dc, who are coming up on Facebook age don’t yet have pages and I don’t plan to encourage them to. Again, friends can be contacted live if they want to talk.

I use Facebook and I’m 34 years old. I find it to be a fun way to network with other people. There is always going to be some idiot who uses something in a negative way. I think the way you choose to use Facebook (positive or negative) is the more important question.

:rotfl: :rotfl: I am a College student too and EVERYONE in my class has a Facebook account. For the record Facebook makes Myspace look sick by comparison.
Yeah, for the first month of freshman, everyone was utterly addicted to it. Then, most of us stopped caring.

No I don’t and won’t. Some people have a sick sense of humour, they post disgusting photos of themselves doing disgusting things. You never know who’s picture your going to end up when you join a group.

I use email and phone to keep in touch.

If the site has porn or nudity etc in plain view avoid it at all costs.

So is there anything up there you wouldnt want your parents to see?

Nope. It’s clean.

As for someone staying if ou want to contact someone then do it live, I beg to differ. For example. A lot of my firends have had babies recently. I get to see pictures and here what is going on in their lives. I know the mother and fathers are busy and dont have time to call ever single one of their friends that care about them to keep them updated. They get to post and we all get to read at our leisure and post back to them. They too get to hear about our lives. So when i do get to see them thats it not like we are catching up on months of stuff. We each know what each other is going through.Or my friends in NY. Do you know how much phone tag we play trying to talk to each other? Facebook allows for fast and conivent talking. It’s much like Catholic Forums except i get to choose and control who i want to know about my life.
