When you said fall it reminded me of the fall of Eve.
We are told that moral sense comes from the knowledge of good and evil. Scripture says that we must eat to -be as Gods knowing good and evil. Both God and the snakes say this.
God and the Church work hard to better our moral sense.
If Eve had not started us on this road of knowledge then we would not have moral sense.
Would you give up yours?
Would you stop Eve from eating?
Is living forever in ignorance of why to follow God better than a short life with knowing God and His philosophy?
Scripture tells us the tree is forbidden:
Genesis 2:
16 Then Yahweh God gave the man this command, ‘You are free to eat of all the trees in the garden.
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you are not to eat; for, the day you eat of that, you are doomed to die.’
Only the serpant says
Genesis 3:
5 God knows in fact that the day you eat it your eyes will be opened and you will be like gods, knowing good from evil.’
If we had no knowledge of good and evil, could we commit either?
We had knowledge to obey God, not to touch that tree.
Why would I want to violate anothers free will?
If I had a wife, would I want to force her to say she loves me, rather than hear what she purely says with free will?
I guess I would have personally allowed Eve to eat, for God has promised us Salvation, something that to me is the greatest thing in mankind.
Now, there are those who follow God without ignorance, they follow with reason and logic, reason and faith.
These last few questions you ask, I’m not God, and I don’t know God’s overall plan, therefore ask Him why he gave you the right to ask these questions.
Justafool:
If there is only one way to go then there is no freedom.
Hell as analternative kills freedom.
You have the freedom to steal a television from your local shop, just because you have freedom, doesn’t mean there aren’t consequences for your actions.
God Bless.
Chris.
