Do you believe in Angels? Let me know ,for I wish too see who many Pray to your Angels,or do we forget we all have Angels,a sign to us at Birth. :angel1:

I do believe in angels!

I don’t really pray to them though - it seems to me that God sends them to test us and to help us, making me think perhaps they don’t come to us when “we” beckon but rather at God’s command.

So I pray to God, asking Him to send help, thank Him for doing so, and thank angels if they were part of God’s good work. 🙂

Why would we not believe in angels? There are angels mentioned in the Bible and in many other Catholic texts, hymns, etc. (cherubim, seraphim, etc. are all angels).

We pray to St. Michael regularly for protection against Satan and evil.

As a child my mother taught me the “Angel of God” prayer to my Guardian Angel: “Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God’s love commits me here. Ever this day, be at my side, to light, to guard, to rule, to guide. Amen.” This was one of a group of prayers mom specifically taught me when little, along with Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, grace before meals, and a short prayer to say before we drove in the car. I used to say the Guardian Angel prayer every night. I recently started to say it again having been reminded of my Guardian Angel reading Elizabeth Kindelmann’s spiritual diary.

Apart from St. Michael and the Guardian Angel prayer, however, I do not generally direct prayers to angels, rather to God/ Jesus/ Holy Spirit, to Mary, and to the saints. I feel that God has given the angels special duties and, apart from St. Michael and my guardian angel, their job is not really to be interceding for me.

Angels are a truth of faith. Catholics believe angels exist, and most of us learn the Guardian angel prayer as children, at a minimum. Frequently, the St. Micheal the Archangel prayer is prayed in parish communities.

Today’s generation, worry about Game playing texting, just some not all, their are ones that Follow God,Love God. I to say the Guardian Angel every morning and when I go to sleep .I also pray to St Michael every morning, before I do my thing,s outside the Home.AMEN God Bless

Give them time, neweggs. They may have some holiness inside you do not see, also a lot of us begin to put our faith as more of a priority as we get older and wiser. God Bless You

Yes I believe and I frequently talk to my guardian angel, often telling her to go tell my daughter’s GA to tell my daughter to call/text her mom, or asking her to help me when I’m in various social situations and may open my mouth before thinking. 😃

Always! They even finish my rosary for me when I fall asleep! They make funny noises in my head when I am about to make a big mistake, I don’t always listen, much to my despair!

When you slow down for no reason, and a carulls out up ahead, that’s angels! Just listen!

Of course. They’re featured prominently in scripture, so as a believing Catholic, why wouldn’t I?

Not sure why you are asking this on a Catholic forum. The Church teaches about angels and Catholics must believe in them.

What a nice reminder to pray through the Holy Angels.

Thank you neweggs…👍

Hi neweggs,

You can see in the upper left corner of the page that I have an Angel as my avatar picture.

Yes, I most certainly do believe in Angels. 🙂

They are there to help us and to guide us.

God bless you, too!

From the Catechism:

"The angels in the life of the Church

"334 In the meantime, the whole life of the Church benefits from the mysterious and powerful help of angels.201

"335 In her liturgy, the Church joins with the angels to adore the thrice-holy God. She invokes their assistance (in the funeral liturgy’s In Paradisum deducant te angeli. . .“May the angels lead you into Paradise. . .”]). Moreover, in the “Cherubic Hymn” of the Byzantine Liturgy, she celebrates the memory of certain angels more particularly (St. Michael, St. Gabriel, St. Raphael, and the guardian angels).

"336 From its beginning until death, human life is surrounded by their watchful care and intercession.202 "Beside each believer stands an angel as protector and shepherd leading him to life.“203 Already here on earth the Christian life shares by faith in the blessed company of angels and men united in God.”

I pray the Chaplet of St. Michael almost every day.

In this prayer, I ask for the intercession of St. Michael and of the nine angelic choirs.

It’s impossible for me to believe that someone wouldn’t believe in angels! They’re so fascinating!
