I believe in apparitions, but only the one’s approved by the Church.i am into research about apparitions. how do you find this kind of supernatural event today?
I believe in Lourdes, Fatima, and Guadalupe. I haven’t studied the others enough to know for sure.i am into research about apparitions. how do you find this kind of supernatural event today?
Be certain to see always find what the authentic Church teachings are.I don’t believe in them and am even afraid of them.
I know Mary from the Bible. She is so humble, she would
never ask a cathedral built in her honor. I don’t talk about
them, or try to learn about them, but some people think this
means I’m not a true Catholic.

66 “The Christian economy, therefore, since it is the new and definitive Covenant, will never pass away; and no new public revelation is to be expected before the glorious manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Yet even if Revelation is already complete, it has not been made completely explicit; it remains for Christian faith gradually to grasp its full significance over the course of the centuries.
67 Throughout the ages, there have been so-called “private” revelations, some of which have been recognized by the authority of the Church. They do not belong, however, to the deposit of faith. It is not their role to improve or complete Christ’s definitive Revelation, but to help live more fully by it in a certain period of history. Guided by the Magisterium of the Church, the sensus fidelium knows how to discern and welcome in these revelations whatever constitutes an authentic call of Christ or his saints to the Church.
Saying that, I have little doubt Fatima was a trenedous gift from God.Christian faith cannot accept “revelations” that claim to surpass or correct the Revelation of which Christ is the fulfillment, as is the case in certain non-Christian religions and also in certain recent sects which base themselves on such “revelations”.
I hear ya, I’m not sure about a cathedral being a point of worry for me, but the message of these apparitions always seems to be “Repent, do pennance, live the Gospel, and say such-and-such a prayer more”… all things one should know and practice as a Catholic already. So no, I don’t really think about them… Christ has given us all we need for our salvation.I don’t believe in them and am even afraid of them.

I don’t believe Mary asked for Cathedrals to be built in honor of her, that’s the decision taken by the Church, after the fact.I don’t believe in them and am even afraid of them.

In Lourdes, Mary asked for a chapel to be built where prayers could be said. They in fact built a small Church of the Holy Rosary. However, after the apparition was approved, the added the large Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. But those aren’t the only two. In fact there are no less than 4 churches in Lourdes. I use to wonder why, until I visited Lourdes and saw that the large crowds required the numbers they built. 20,000 people visit Lourdes everyday. The majority attend Mass and other services. Look at the size of your own Church and consider how you’d fit 20,000 people into it.
