Do you believe in ghosts

Whatever anyone thinks they see it is definitely not the soul of a person not passed over due to unfinished business. When we die we IMMEDIATELY go to Hell (if dying in a state of mortal sin) or to Purgatory or Heaven (if dying in a state of grace).
Yes, but a soul would not necessarily be regulated by our time. In fact, many so called ghosts appear to be people from another era, and sometimes re-enacting life events. God is outside of time. Things spiritual I would assume would be as well. i do agree that we do not know what they are, and that it very possibly could be demonic.

As Christians we are supposed to believe in Holy Scripture. In the Old Testament someone goes off to consult with a witch and she summons up the spirit of someone deceased by his request. (a sin, which the dead was upset in being disturbed, or so the passage says) I wouldn’t think Scripture would lie about that sort of thing- that its possible that spirits of the dead can appear to people.

I remember a few posts here of people saying they were contacted by loved ones who have passed over- I think it might be too general to dismiss all 'ghosts' as you did here. But I agree, that we do not know and can probably be fooled, so we just can't know.
There is a rule that I heard being spouted off in the church and its says for things like this, 'you can look, but don’t grasp". Meaning, if something odd like seeing a ghost happens to you, or had some sort of paranormal event that has you wondering about stuff, that you take it with a grain of salt and pray harder and make sure to talk to a trusted priest about it.
