Lol, armageddon is during the 7 years of tribulation when the antichrist comes to power.

How can you not believe in tribulation?
You misunderstand – Catholics do not believe in the **7 years **- emphasis on the finite time frame of the tribulation being only 7 years.

Catholics believe there WILL BE a tribulation… we just aren’t convinced it will be 7 or 10 or even 20 years.

Armageddon is a place. Namely the hills of Mageddo.

The Second Coming is going to happen of course

The seven years tribulation is also an invention of the dispensationalists. Daniel tells us the middle of the last week is when the Triumphal Entry would happen (yeah it did) the last three and a half years, got me. But when will it happen? No man knows. Thief in the night. If anyone says look here they are lying.

Seems pretty straight forward.

God Bless
Now the interesting thing is, that Daniel’s prophecy is where we get the popular idea that Jesus’ public ministry lasted for three and a half years.

I’m not asking what the church believes, I’m asking what you, personally believe. Do you believe it’ll ever happen? Do you believe it’s just a made up concept? Do you believe its pre-trib? I’d like to know your thoughts on this. It came in my head since I’ve been seeing so many protestants on youtube announcing that God is telling them (through the holy spirit) that time is up and that the rapture is imminent, I’d like to know what you think on the rapture.

By the way, I realize that no man knows the day nor the hour, but we are said to watch for signs of the season. 😉 For all you who believe in it, give me a time estimation of when you think its possible. I’d be interesting to see who here believes we’re in end times.

The thing is that we have been since Jesus was resurrected. But anyways, lets get back to the original question. 🙂
No, I’m personally not a fan of the Rapture. As for my eschatological views, I don’t have a fixed opinion, but I do find both amillennialism and historical premillennialism (the kind some of the early Church Fathers held - without any Rapture in it, of course) appealing.

I did when i was coming up in the pentecostal church of god but not anymore since I am now Catholic and have been for nearly twenty years

Welcome brother.

I believe that “The Rapture” is an extra-biblical, false, doctrine of man.

As far as eschatological beliefs, I believe in the Parousia and that Christ will return in Glory at the End of Time. There will be a new heavens and a new Earth and Jesus will then establish His everlasting Kingdom. That is what the Bible teaches.

Sister. I’m not a man. 🙂

So do you guys also not believe in the Antichrist?
I do. I doubt though that he’d be anything like Damien Thorn or Nicolae Carpathia or Stone Alexander or Julian Felsenburgh or Johnny Rotten or Adam Young or any of the popular culture Antichrists. 😉 (Bonus points if you recognized all those names. :D)

Who or what is the "anti-christ?" Answer
The term antichrist is mentioned only a few times in the Bible and is used in singular and plural forms, implying there will be both a particular Antichrist as well as preceding antichrists. Because of their heinous crimes, men such as Nero, Hitler, and Stalin have been termed antichrists.
In 1 John 2:18 the term implies a particular man who, before the Second Coming, will persecute the Church with a ferocity never before experienced. 1 John 2:22 tells us that anyone who opposes the Father is an antichrist. 1 John 4:3 says, “Every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus does not belong to God. This is the spirit of the antichrist that, as you have heard, is to come, but in fact is already in the world.”
Bishop Polycarp of Smyrna (d. cir. A.D. 156) said in his Letter to the Philippians, “Everyone who does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is an antichrist.”
Paul’s reference to “the Lawless One” seems to be another allusion to the Antichrist. He’s described as a man who will be empowered by Satan, come forth in the end times, savagely persecute the Church, proclaim himself a god, and, through the signs and wonders he performs, be worshiped by most people living at that time.
Finally, when the time comes, the Antichrist will be destroyed by Jesus Christ when he returns in glory (2 Thes 2:1-12).
By the way, the Church has made no formal definition on the matter, so Catholics are free to hold that the Antichrist was or will be an individual, a group of people, or a particularly wicked era.
Unlike so many n-Cs we do not have these things all mapped out (more like all conjectured out) because the Word of God doesn’t map it all out as promoted by so many n-C preachers and authors.

From the Catechism:
The Church’s ultimate trial
675
Before Christ’s second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers.574 The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth575 will unveil the “mystery of iniquity” in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth. The supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of his Messiah come in the flesh.576
676 The Antichrist’s deception already begins to take shape in the world every time the claim is made to realize within history that messianic hope which can only be realized beyond history through the eschatological judgment. The Church has rejected even modified forms of this falsification of the kingdom to come under the name of millenarianism,577 especially the “intrinsically perverse” political form of a secular messianism.578
677 The Church will enter the glory of the kingdom only through this final Passover, when she will follow her Lord in his death and Resurrection.579 The kingdom will be fulfilled, then, not by a historic triumph of the Church through a progressive ascendancy, but only by God’s victory over the final unleashing of evil, which will cause his Bride to come down from heaven.580 God’s triumph over the revolt of evil will take the form of the Last Judgment after the final cosmic upheaval of this passing world.581
