Thanks for this thread. When I first came here I came to learn, but have found myself going in another direction. I haven’t confessed…Yet!
Thanks

Well…This week I was privileged to go to the Catholic Market Network Trade Show, which was held in Somerset, New Jersey.

Father Apostoli was there to say daily Mass for us, and was available for confession just about full time…There was also a special room set aside for Eucharistic Adoration.

**I am very happy to report that I went to confession to Fr. Apostoli…What a wonderful experience that was…And, yes, I did confess that I spend too much time here! **

Dear CD4,
How exactly did you word that??? Did you mention that it was a Catholic forum, or just too much time on the computer??? (Can you send me a script to memorize, I might need it soon! )

**I mentioned the name of the forum, and told Father Apostoli that I was spending too much time on it. I told him that the planned ten or fifteen minutes turned into hours…on the forum and on the computer in general…But, I have to admit that I am spending more time here than anywhere else…I’ll probably have to confess it again . **

But, I am trying to be more aware of the passing of time, and to actually do the other things that need doing…It’s a challenge…

**Going to confession helps me at least try to stay on the right track…It helps me become aware of problem areas in my life, and grow in faith. **

BTW…Father Apostoli is awesome…

Yikes, if you read my last cranky post on how scarce confession is in my neck of the woods, you will see that I am gathering ample confession material! But to those who do not have a home computer and justly wish to avoid misusing their work computer, remember that most public libraries allow Internet access to anyone with a library card. Having to go to a library might also be a good way of avoiding “The Lost Weekend” online–many libraries have a one hour limit!

Good topic, Jan. I have included internet use in a confession, tho the gist of it was the time used that could have been used more fruitfully in other tasks. On occasion, I’ve also been a bit mischievous and argumentative; I should probably include that next time.
