I realize many people “know” the Gospels and can quote them very accurately, but how many understand? Do we read the Word of God and hear what He says, think of the point He is getting at? Do we consider what it is He is feeling at various times when he is teaching us and what is going on around Him when he speaks during those particular times? When He felt joy, sorrow, frustration, anger, compassion, sadness contentment, disillusionment, love? and do we read the entire lesson in a given teaching to understand the true meaning or do we magnify a word or part of a sentence and dwell on that alone discarding the remaining teaching to make it fit what we would like to believe? Do you try to get to know Christ Himself?
