A few years ago I would have agreed with you. Now I think it’s wonderful that a priest would encourage his congregation to nourish their souls on the Body of Christ, when he simply could not hold services for them.

I agree. The old Greek Orthodox priest had three wonderful qualities. First he trusted in God. He also trusted my old pastor and he trusted the realtionship between himself and his flock.

Both current pastors of those two parishes could learn a lot from their predecessors. The angst, negativity and paranoia gets VERY old after a while.

It gets to be sorta pathetic too.

Your profile says “Religion: Catholic - slowly leaning towards Russian Orthodox Church.”

I have never met a more ludicrously xenophobic group in my entire life. They even bash the other Orthodox state churches. Their absurdly late start ensures no primacy of their group. Why would you even consider them?

Are you culturally Russian?

It certainly does!
