Do you ever chat with God?

I don’t mean when we pray but wonder whether you sometimes chat to Him in the same way that you chat to another person? Maybe talking about your problems and blessings?

Thanks.

I do. I talk to God often throughout the day about what’s on my mind and also as I offer prayers for others.

Yeah, like hourly.
Mary and St. Therese get a lot of chitchat from me too lately.

My husband died and I’m pretty isolated. I often don’t have anybody to talk out loud to except God, Mary, the saints, and my cats.

Yes, this habit is strongly encouraged.

Peace.

Yes, but not nearly enough. I’ve been trying to make it a constant habit.

what was your discussion like?
Similar to Tevye, or the “Oh, God” movies.

Sometimes I cry. Sometimes I beg God/ Jesus/ Mary etc for help . Sometimes I ask them to give my regards to my parents or my husband or my long-deceased friend. Sometimes I joke with them. Often I thank them.

They seem very real (partly because I have been going to Mass almost daily since Jan 1 of this year - the more I go, the more real they feel) and it makes it less lonely.

I hope so yes. I mean I hope it’s Him. I ask or tell him any thought and then there is a thought like a reply.
Small things and great, Church things. And other great things that are on my mind. He doesn’t always reply to great things. Come to think of it He doesn’t reply at all. I feel Him listening.
I also tell him every unfaithful thought that comes to mind. Including me feeling angry at Him. I got a reply today in front of the altar rood of a Church, where yet again I broke the rules by coming in with jeans and even worse I pathed the front of the altar gates when moving right to left to kiss the icons. Just when I realized that and was about to leave a thought “wait! You’re missing something.” I had missed an icon of Theotokos and Jesus and so I went back and I kissed it and then while I was leaving the church a thought came to my head “Oh, so that is you being angry then.”
Whatever that means.

This is my interested topic.I always chats with god. Whenever I have doubts in life, I asks him ,The replies are surprising.I started this from my childhood itself. I have started a channel Bennat’s Kitchen(Cooking and Prayers) in Youtube also.June 13 th is St.Antony’s feast,So I shared a unfailing prayer with you all.

Yes, I do. I’m a very visual person. I have a picture of the Blessed Trinity in a 5x7 frame in my living room that I talk to as if they are there. Because they are there. Sometimes I make a cup of tea and we have tea and talk. Or sometimes I move it to the dining room table, set it across from me, and eat my bowl of soup and talk to them like I would my best friend. I talk about the mundane, the important, the good, the sad, whatever is going on with me. Some days I talk less and do more listening while I eat. For me it helps me draw into closer union with God and not only go to Him when I need something. I also talk to Jesus sometimes while driving and visualize Him sitting in the passenger seat.

I wouldn’t even know where to start.
You do know how to start, but you don’t realize it.

On top of everything else that God is, he is also the best friend that we could ever ask for.

Talk to Him like you would a good friend. Tell Him about your day, what you are feeling, what you like and what you dislike. Ask Him questions, and be quiet and see if He gives you a response. He doesn’t always respond, as you know. However, He always hears us.

God is so interested in you that He created you at the beginning of time for your life today. Naturally, He enjoys it when you check in and give Him an update. Just keep it clean.

Every since I was a little kid - especially when I’m outside or walking. I marvel at His creation. It’s almost like I’m continually “thinking” or conscious of Him.
