Do you ever envy animals?

I was plopped down on my couch earlier this evening watching one of my Osprey friends kind of just hanging out in her nest and wondering what she was thinking.

Possibly not very much.

But she and other animals do not have existential angst like we do. She looked quite at peace just sitting there in her nest. Although I wonder if she wasn’t a little bored.

She’s sleeping now. Well, she was, not she may have a little insomnia, not sure.

I suppose she’s dreaming of something like catching a nice juicy trout in the morning.

I sat on an upturned bucket in the hen house and talked to the hens, and thought how small their brains were…no I don’t envy them 🤣 They do like my singing however so I believe they have good taste (as well as laying tasty eggs and being tasty themselves )

I wonder, though, that they do so many of the same things that we do. (I know this is quite evident.) …like sleep, eat, procreate, etc.

At the moment she is sitting on three eggs, which we generally do not do.

I’ve often thought how difficult it would be to carry a big egg around, thank God we wernt designed that way
😅

I remember when I left for high school in the morning to catch the bus, I used to envy my dog that got to stay home and sleep all day if she wanted to. She didn’t have to go to school or get a job.

When faced with the human condition, i often think of how free and privilege they are because they do not have to face the pains of the human experience. But then i realize that they will never get to know God like we know God or experience heaven like we can…

Being an animal is great…until this happens.

Yes, as far as drawbacks, I think we’ve barely scratched the surface.

And though it may be a lot to chew on, we’re going to have to take the bull by the horns.

I really feel, however, that you let the cat out of the bag way too early.

@JamalChristophr . . .you should work for a greeting card company!
