Do you ever go to mass 2 times on Sunday?

Ditto. I often have to play and cantor more than one Mass. Most of the time the homily is close to the same, but varies a little.

So she would hear mass from whenever she arrived, stayed around for the next mass, and was free to leave when the mass progressed to the point.

No it is not. Once you receive it getting it a second time doesnt make it better. Just as sipping the wine doesnt make you more complete than just the Eucharist. You can try to spin it all you want. You cant show the church teaches any difference. My mom wants me to also partake in the wine which I refuse. I tell her that the Eucharist is 100% complete and she says she knows but taking the wine make her and me more complete. I tell her that is a statement of ignorance as you can not be more than 100%

You’re missing the forest for the trees there bub. You’re correct that yes, once you’ve received the Eucharist you have all the grace of Christ in you and that taking the Eucharist again does not get you “more full of grace”.

But, going to mass twice, or more in a day, is still beneficial even if you only take the Eucharist once.

Spending more time in prayer and in the presence of God is beneficial.

We do not only go to Mass to share in the Eucharist.

There is the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist at each Mass.
When we share in the Eucharist we are asking to become one in the Body of Christ- that’s everyone at that Mass becoming one in the Body of Christ.

Who taught you that the only reason is Communion is in error. It is such a pity these errors are perpetuated.

Your errors have given me a thought that a great thread would be the Catechism of the Holy Mass.

Yep, the Saturday Vigil or the Sunday Mass, they celebrate the Sunday Liturgy.
 
You go to Mass for the Eucharist. If you dont go to communion (and you arent in a state of mortal sin) you are wrong. Last year I was in the hospital for two weeks, the priest showed up and offered me communion. He didnt say a whole mass.
 
57, I just want proof the church teaches that going to more than one mass just on sundays will make you more closer ( Yes I know that its bad grammer, I did it on purpose). to god than someone who goes just once. You cant show any proof what so ever as the church doesnt teach that it does. If you want to go to more fine. But God doesnt require it and it doesnt make you ANY different or more closer to God than a person who goes once a week on sundays.

You are still obliged to go to Mass even if you have unconfessed mortal sins. The Church only requires you to receive the Eucharist once a year, on Easter- but you are still obligated to go to Mass every Sunday and holy day regardless of whether or not you will receive.
 
If you do to mass and you dont go to communion for a good reason you have not filled your obligation. You are required to go once a year to not be in mortal sin.

Not quite. The guidelines require attendance at mass each Sunday and holy day, but only reception of the communion annually during the Easter season.

There is such a need for teaching why we attend Holy Mass. The first reason is that Jesus is there with us. Throughout the Mass. The second reason is that we are the People of God, the Body of Christ. Part of that great Communion of Saints.

The Church teaches we are only required to have Communion once a year, as others have stated. As with the Sacrament of Reconcilliation. We can attend Mass and not share in the Eucharist as per Church law. Most people choose to share in the Eucharist weekly though if their conditions are right.

Your Priest brought you a consecrated Host to your hospital bed as you were unable to attend Mass and he was giving you Pastoral Care. It’s quite common. And not just with the Consecrated Host from the Sunday Liturgy.

Mass has two Liturgies. Both important and sacred

No, to not be in a state of mortal sin, you must go once a year. If you dont go at mass and you can go, you havent fulfilled your obligation. so again, you are wasting your time if you can go to communion and you dont go. There are reasons for these rules and its not based upon feeling.

Yes, you have- how do you not understand? You are only obligated to receive communion once a year, but you must go to Mass every Sunday and holy day. That means that there’s 364 days of the year where you don’t have to receive communion.
 
Wrong. You’re obligated to receive communion once a year. You’re required to go to mass every Sunday.

To be in grace ie not in a state of mortal sin, a person must go to confession as frequently as required , ie if you commit mortal sin, get to confession. If you again commit mortal sin, get to confession again.

For some people this could be a weekly thing
 
If you go to mass and dont go to communion and you can go to communion, you have not fulfilled you Holy Obligation. However if you dont go on easter you are now in mortal sin. There is a difference. Go to more than one mass on sundays doesnt get you into heaven easier than someone who only goes once. It doesnt work like that. If you “feel” it make you a better catholic or closer to god, fine. But the church doesnt teach that and if you can prove the church does, I’ll admit I am wrong.
