Not really, no. It gets more obvious every day that my life is entrusted to God’s mercy one way or another. I might have some fear of myself, knowing how unreliable and short on charity I am, but not hell per se. Hell is a rational consequence of a rational creature, and consequences aren’t morally good or evil. Only souls are good or evil.
I might sin a little or sin a lot: it’s still a question of his mercy. That doesn’t mean I’m apathetic to growing in holiness, but I’ll come up short no matter how high I climb. You can shoot a short harpoon or a long harpoon towards the moon. Guess what: you’re not going to hook it. God descends to you prior to you ascending to him.
