Do you get regular exercise? What do you do?

Slave away in the garden every day (enjoying every minute!)
Sometimes horseback riding…when I can catch her…
Walking, either with the dog or pacing back and forth out of consternation…🧐

Two forms of exercise
  1. my fingers are in really great shape from typing on these fora
  2. I do try to get on the treadmill a couple times a week. I find I get in one whole rosary before I get too tired to continue.
Blessings,
Stephie

Swim laps three times a week. Walking the dog on long walks three times a day.

I have German Shepherd. If she not running in the backyard chasing squirrels, she wants to be walked.

I walk at lunchtime about 30-40 minutes of my lunch hour. When I buy lunch I try to pick somewhere at last .5 miles away. So I workout 5 days a week.

When weather, obligations, and water conditions allow I kayak.

Right now I’m just running 30 to 75 min., about 4 days in the week. I like to hike and climb mountains but am currently saving money by driving less.

(I forgot about riding my bike all around town. Extremely rare that any other bicyclist ever passes me. And thankfully there is no speed limit on campus. 🤨 )

I mow lawns as well as a day job,
People now go to a gym to get the physical movement their parent did working in factories or farms

I have mobility issues, so I just try and keep moving as much as I literally can.

I like to walk, so I try and do that, as much as I reasonably can. 🙂

Yep, dog walks, but they are slow so I also do at least 30 minutes of either treadmill or weight lifting . I try every day. O yes, unless I mow which is 40 minutes of hard work.

I walk every day with a pedometer. I try to take at least 5,000 steps daily, usually starting with a long walk in the morning, and a few times every week I take over 10,000 steps in a single day.

Then I eat too much and spoil most of the weight-loss benefits 😠, but I know exercise is still important for overall fitness :walking_man:. I used to be much more active in my job as an electrician, climbing ladders, crawling around and walking many miles on big jobs every day.

Like many others, I walk daily. I had open knee surgery last year to fix a dislocated kneecap; walking is part of the (interminable 😒) rehabilitation.

I aim to walk at least half an hour nonstop each day. If I have the time, I’ll embark on a one-hour Nordic walk. Nordic walking is my exercise preference - well, I’d actually prefer to cross-country ski ⛷️ but there’s rarely enough snow on the ground for that in these here parts - but I don’t always have the time to suit up for it then shower and redress afterwards.

I used to run, including trail running which is mega-awesome 🤩, but I’ve sustained so many lower body joint injuries over the years that I think that era is now over.

Cleaning house and working outside is my exercise. It’s year round.

I wonder if any of the apostles did jogging to keep fit and relieve stress?

Pretty sure they were excellent walkers, in any case.

I practice hatha yoga and qigong daily. Just got a little trampoline to help with immune system issues. Use this several times a day and also go for 25-45 minutes most days. I'm semi retired so I'm able to do more than most folks in the way of daily practices. Very fortunate. Then there is also mowing, shoveling once the snow hits, etc...

Recently, raking leaves. 🍂

I need to get back into a routine. My wife and I were doing exercise DVDs 6 days a week. I’ve gotten out of the habit the past few months, though.

I’m under doctor’s orders to swim everyday, even when I have a migraine. It’s the only exercise that I am allowed since an old injury from my twenties returned.
Following the swim, and doctor’s orders (my physical therapist from overseas), I soak in the hot tub for my lower back.
The original orders, from my orthopedist in the Middle East was to swim twice a week. I saw a headache specialist last month who upped the number of times I swim to daily. I start by working out with light weights (3X/wk) followed by my swim.
I should get back into my routine at the pain clinic. I just had a cortisone shot so I have been resting the last couple of weeks for that and other reasons.

@DebCWil

I don’t know…this whole story sounds a little fishy to me…😎
