I do find swimming relaxing.
If I didn’t go to the gym at least every other day I wouldn’t strength train. I have a kettle ball at home but I feel weird working out in my living room.I think gym participation or not may be a bit of upbringing or past experience thing or personal psychology question. Some people are highly social, others tend to kind of be exhibitionists, maybe.
I myself was brought up doing competitive sports since junior high into adult hood, so exercising among others is perhaps a bit more motivating to me, or at least, it doesn’t really make me uncomfortable.
I get distracted by some of the women, however, which I don’t think is an all together good thing. (even if I am single)
Do you have room for a home gym?I would like, to some degree, to do strength training but am too cheap to buy a gym membership at the moment and too unmotivated to do things like push ups and sit-ups etc at home.
